The Cup Game
I just learned about the Cup Game from one of my colleagues at Monroe, Mr. Jesus. He taught me the beat over lunch. It looks like a really fun group activity to work on beat finding and coordination. I think I’m going to try it out with a group of students soon, probably 4th / 5th first, and then modify for lower graders. All you need is a stack of plastic cups! I love activtities like these, that don’t need a lot of fancy or expensive materials, because the currency is in the idea. Thanks makers and evolve-ers of the Cup Game! :)
