Raidohead playing The National Anthem on the Colbert Report
Radiohead was, hands down, one of the most influential bands of my young-adult life. So much so that in my early 20’s, I followed them to England and Portugal! I was and still am inspired by their creativity, bravery, tenacity, and their steadfast insistence on creating work on no one else’s terms but their own. In large-part, it’s their influence that roots the skeptical and uneasy relationship I have with institutions as well as my gravitation toward the spirit of the independent artist.
